Hello, my name in Munyao Mutuku (Boniface) and i
welcome you to the website for my woodcarving business. I am a
businessman who buys and sells wood carvings and sisal products (baskets and
purses). I am located in the village of Mililuni, Kenya, and a second
shop in Wamunyu town. All of my products are produced within Ukambani
and the Yatta Plateau. I stock carvings made from ebony, rosewood,
mahogany, yellowwood, jacaranda, and other local trees. All of the carvings we produce are made by hand by highly skilled craftsmen who pass the skills down from generation to generation. No machines are used in making the carvings. Woodcarving has been a major industry in Ukambani since 1918, when a man Mzee Mutisya Munge from Machakos introduced it as a business activity. I have been in business since 1993 and through years of experience have gained a wealth of knowledge in acquiring the best wood carving of high quality, at reasonable prices. This allows me to offer my customers reasonable prices also. I can serve all customer types, from tourists just looking for a few small souvenirs up to exporters who want to assemble an entire container of woodcarvings for shipment over seas. When you are visiting Kenya, please come and visit me and my fellow woodcarvers in Mililuni. We are easy to find, visible from the main Machakos-Kitui highway, Mililuni village, approx 37 kms past Machakos. A map is provided below for your convenience. Please feel free to just come by, or to contact me directly at the contact information below. Thank You and Karibu Kenya! |

Mililuni village is on the left hand side of the road, look for the sign for Mililuni Craft Co-operative. My first store is located within the Mililuni Craft Co-operative complex. My second shop is 5 kms down the same highway, in Wamunyu town. Look for Millenium Curio on the left-hand side of the road. |
